Our History

Benefit Resources, Inc. is an independent firm providing benefit-administration services to clients primarily in the Southeast and Midwest regions. The company was established in 1998 to offer personalized service specializing in the Taft Hartley industry. Our clients represent a potpourri of different industries and all share the goal of providing benefit security to their members and employees. Always aligned with the needs of our clients, we have expanded our practice areas to corporate and public funds, with the same level of care of and personal attention that our company was founded on. Our Team

Cory Crandell

PRESIDENT

Mr. Crandell joined Benefit Resources in 2012. This began his career in Benefits Administration. Mr. Crandell performed various Administrative tasks up until 2021, when Founder, Sandy Heck retired. Mr. Crandell acquired Ms. Heck’s share of Benefit Resources and has been the managing partner since Ms. Heck’s retirement in 2021.

FOUNDER

Mr. Crandell is the founder of Benefit Resources. He was introduced to the administration of benefit plans as the principal officer of a labor organization where a large portion of his responsibility was working with membership benefits. Seeing firsthand the importance benefit programs play in the lives of those served made for an easy transition. The opportunity to manage a mid-sized Pension and Health & Welfare Plan presented itself, and the rest is history. Benefit Resources was established to serve the multi-employer industry and remains committed to that purpose today. Our family has grown, and we look forward to continuing to grow the range of benefit plans we offer as well as the populations we serve.
